My husband and I took a little break for the past two days and have been having a blast here in Vegas. Of course we miss our babes at home, but it got me thinking..do I do this often enough? I can not remember the last time in the past year that I carved out more then a couple of hours for some me time.
As a mother of three children 5 and under with a traveling husband, I am on the go constantly. I am expected to be on the job 24 hours a day. Oh, did I mention this little business I have been working on the last several months? Do not get me wrong, I love everything about my life. However, being here away for a couple of days made me realize how important it is for you to take time for yourself. I made a little list below of the things that I think are important for all women, even more so those that are mommy's.
1. Physical rest and relaxation are key. This includes not having to get up in the middle of the night and being able to sleep in.
2. Having a couple days where you can go the bathroom in privacy. :)
3. Go to a spa.
4. Nap whenever you want!
5. Go shopping, eat out, and drink if you want. With your husband. Without your husband.
6. Watch a movie in bed! (I think I might do this tonight)
7.Take a long bath at whatever time of the day you want!
At the end of the day, we are busy busy women who deserve some time for ourselves. Take breaks for our sanity and our mental health. Take care of our bodies which includes our minds and what we eat. Then handle that shit like a boss!
